DRY website for UWE

Designer and project manager

Details:
Website design and build for Drought Risk and You Project (DRY) from University of the West Of England.

The biggest challenge for us was to sift through the five years of data that they had - words, pictures, films, stats - and create a managable platform that was easy to navigate and intuitive to use.

Incorporating arcgis mapping software, multiple image slide-shows, and various complex word tagging systems, like the one shown here.

Client:
UWE (University of the West Of England)

Collaborator:
Ampersand Industries on the design & build

DRY Project overvier:
‘Droughts and water shortage can impact on the environment, agriculture, infrastructure, society and culture, affecting us all. The DRY project was founded with an aim to develop an easy-to-use, evidence-based resource to inform decision-making for drought risk management in the UK over a four year period. The project spans seven catchment areas in England, Wales and Scotland to reflect different hydrological, socio-economic and cultural contexts.’
